In case you’ve missed it MLB.com has a great interactive page with playoff probability charts (provided by Baseball Prospectus).

It’s here.

Currently the Dodgers have the highest probability of making the playoffs: 84%

The Astros have the lowest: 1%

I’ve decided to use a new tool to pick the World Series winner

Announcer I Like Best

Using the AILB analysis I pick the Dodgers, giving me 8-14 more Vin Scully-voiced games.

Coincidentally the AILB ends up with the same result for 95% of all fans who do not have a team in the playoffs. The other 5% find Joe Castiglione charming.

If Pirates fans start chanting your name, you will blow up.

The last time we watched a Pirates playoff game

Playoffs using some old names:

Perfectos vs. Alleghenys or Redlegs

Superbas vs. Rustlers

Americans vs. Naps or Devil Rays

A’s vs., er, Tigers

They will always be the Brooklyn Bridegrooms to me.
