As late as August 11, 2012 you could have shaken the hand of Edwin “Eddie” Johnson, son of one of the greatest pitcher’s in major league history. Eddie Johnson, who died at the age of 94 was a baseball and basketball star for the University of Maryland and spent time in the Yankees’ minor league system. An injury took him out of baseball.
