Homer Bailey Throws 2nd No-Hitter of His Career

Bailey, who is also the first pitcher since Nolan Ryan (1974 - 1975) to throw two consecutive no-hitters. His last no-hitter was September 28, 2012 against the Pirates. No pithcer has thrown a no-no since.

Bailey joins 26 others who have thrown multiple no-hitters. (The active pitchers who have are Justin Verlander, Mark Buehrle, and Roy Halladay - kinda since one was regular season and one was playoffs.)

It was the 280th no-hitter in MLB history.

Bailey’s line:  9 IP  0 R  0 ER  0 H  1 BB  9 K, 109 pitches

Gregor Blanco was the only Giant to reach base with a walk in the 7th inning.
